The Onerahi Community Association is dedicated to supporting, strengthening, and connecting our local community. We manage and care for the Onerahi Community Hall and House, providing welcoming spaces for events, activities, and gatherings.

ANZAC day service

The Onerahi Community Association will once again host an ANZAC Day service on 25 April this year at the Onerahi Community Hall, beginning at 11:00am. We warmly invite members of the Onerahi community and their whānau to attend this brief remembrance service.

A day of community activation where young people and their whānau can connect and get active after school will be held on Wednesday 18 March at Onerahi Primary School.

Pool fun in Onerahi

Despite unseasonal weather variations and some technical challenges the Sunday community pool days at Raurimu Avenue School proved to be popular though January and February. The young people swimming were supervised by pool life guard Brooke Croft from Whangarei Aquatic Center.  Nearly 100 children used these days for refreshing water activity, and many parents took the opportunity to get actively engaged with their children on a swimming afternoon at the local pool.

Game on Onerahi!

This weekend our Facilities Manager, Heidyn Harrison, and friendly handyman Devon Godinagh rolled up their sleeves to give our newly painted basketball courts a fresh boost. With brand new chain nets installed and the backboards scrubbed clean, the courts are looking sharp and ready for action.

The Onerahi Community Hall is a versatile and welcoming space at the heart of our community. It is available for private functions, community meetings, workshops, classes, celebrations, and events of all kinds. With flexible layout options and essential facilities, the Hall is designed to support everything from small gatherings to larger community occasions.

As a key community asset, the Hall exists to bring people together and support connection, creativity, and local initiatives in Onerahi.

Onerahi Community House

The Onerahi Community House provides a smaller, more intimate setting ideal for meetings, small group activities, tutoring, consultations, and community programs. It offers a comfortable and accessible environment for organizations and individuals delivering services or hosting smaller-scale events.

The House plays an important role in supporting local groups, services, and initiatives that contribute to the wellbeing of the Onerahi community.
